Anyone home? My GSX is unusable for weeks now and we're getting no responses from support... is that your idea of customer service?
Best regards,
Emanuel

Same here, let's hope you have more luck getting support on this than I have. Except for essentially an "RTFM" and a "read the manual" (which only advises to restart couatl - which does NOT fix the problem - I couldn't get any answers...
Best regards,
Emanuel

You are mixing two entirely different things, completely unrelated to each other:

- Fact the GSX replacements jetways page is empty, is completely normal in 2024, because you were never supposed to used them in 2024, now it's not even possible to enabled them by mistake, because they are in a separate package installed only in MSFS 2020.

- The menu stuck on loading doesn't happen here, and the manual has TWO different chapters to help troubleshooting this:

1) Page 97 deals with all possible reasons and all suggestions that are all proven to work, if the menu is stuck on loading AND the Couatl engine IS running.

2) Page 95 deals with Troubleshooting in case the Couatl engine is NOT running.

Except for essentially an "RTFM" and a "read the manual" (which only advises to restart couatl - which does NOT fix the problem - I couldn't get any answers...

Of course it fixes the problem, as explained so many times:

- If you have just updated GSX, it will rebuild the models cache on the next startup, so it's NORMAL it will take longer to start. But, if you restart again while is rebuilding the models cache you are causing the problem, because you are forcing it to start another cache rebuild from scratch on restart, so if you keep insisting on restarting, it will never complete, so it will never start.

This simply means, after having run the FSDT Live Update, you must just wait LONGER before deciding to restart, because most of the times is not even required, you only had to wait.

- Assuming the Couatl engine IS running (if you can restart it, it's assumed it *is* running), when the menu appears to be stuck there, it's because GSX is WAITING for the sim to call it back, and this requires both Simconnect and WASM working. If you have too many add-ons sending too many Simconnects commands OR you have a problem with another add-on using WASM that might have caused the whole WASM subsystem in the sim to either crash or malfunction, the menu might come even later than normal, even if GSX didn't had to rebuild its model cache, because the *whole* Simconnect is slowed down, or possibly stuck.

- As explained on the manual, a possible reason why Simconnect might be stuck, is having reached the maximum number of Simobjects in the sim, usually due to too much AI Traffic and/or too dense scenery and/or too high settings. If this happens, Simcoonnect first slows down then it eventually breaks down, requiring a simulator restart. If a simulator restart FIXES the problem, that's your proof the problem was this one.

When I updated to version 3.4.7, the plane could not open the menu while in the air :(  I can open the menu before I take off and after I land, but I can't use it while I'm in the air :o Everything was working fine before 3.4.7

This issue in MSFS 2024 is not solved. Menu with "Failed to load GSX Menu Please wait, it might appear later..." is still on forever. Please help. I followed all your advice so far. No help.

I can only confirm I was never able to reproduce this problem, we added a new Beta channel open to everybody to try new features in advance. If you select the Beta Channel in the installer, it will show a red "beta" sign on the installer, to confirm you are in the Beta, and there you can find version 3.4.8, which adds the following changes:

- A Completely rewritten menu code, which should be more reliable in detecting Simconnect slowdowns and other issues that might prevent the menu to load, the timeout before giving up (no response from the sim) has also been raised to 1 to 2 minutes, which should help when the sim stops responding from more than a certain amount of time.

- The removal of Wingwalkers if all custom Pushback slots are flagged not to use them.

- The fix for the VGDS ETD not refreshing.

Will the Beta version address the problem where GSX Main Menu shows as 'Flying' when my aircraft is well below 10,000 feet when activated e.g. 2300 feet?

In the above situation immediately upon touchdown the menu opens at the correct airport enabling selection of the parking stand etc.

Not yet, this is under investigation and it's a whole different issue possibly related to the latest update which allowed to have the destination airport always on top of the list.

The Beta version addresses mainly the issue discussed here, which is just a failure to load the menu.

Same exact issue here as well. It's random. Sometimes it will start, sometimes it wont and will just hang. Or maybe it wont work at departure airport but will work at the arrival airport or vise versa. It just depends on GSX's mood if whether or not it wants to get out of bed and go to work for whatever given flight.
