It is a completely unnatural phenomena, especially in a military jet aircraft. One is strapped in tight. Your head is only going to move forward - slightly - during an arrested landing. Otherwise - no head movement except commanded by your own brain - not the simulator.

That's why the constant I use is 0.50 and not 0.00, because if you put 0.00 (no head movement due to accelerations) - it looks like a simulator instead of a real plane because nothing is moving. You can reduce it even to 0.25 but you will hardly notice any movement at all. I completely agree that the default value of 1.00 is very unrealistic, it's like you gonna bump your head into the front panel  ::)

SpazSinbad:
AFAIK FSX is always a simulator. The movement does get in the way at the wrong time. I don't think it is worthwhile but if you and others are happy with it at whatever setting then that is fine by me. IF it does get in the way then there is a way to disable it.

JR...

Good idea.  I never even though or heard of simply modifying the headmovement time constant.  I've just zeroed out the values.  I kinda like your idea and will give it a whirl to get some minor head motion.
