Disabled ground handling operator is still being used
« on: September 04, 2025, 10:31:51 am »
Hey,
I enabled only Swissport and DNATA as ground handling operators, yet Jet Aviation keeps being used most of the time, even though it’s disabled in the GSX Livery Manager.

Jet aviation is the default fallback texture for every vehicle, so it cannot be disabled, otherwise you would see a pink logo on all vehicles.

So, the real question is not why you see Jet Aviation, but why you don't see  Swissport and DNATA instead. Are you sure THOSE are Enabled in the Livery Manager ?

Yes, updated to the latest version and checked again to make sure only those 2 are enabled!

I kinda found a temporary fix. After I go to Customise Airport positions and assign the operators to the whole airport by myself (its just 3 clicks because you can select all gates at once), it works (obviously). You only have to do it once, but I think that's not the way how it's supposed to be right?

That's exactly the way it's supposed to be. Operators in the Livery Manager are only enabled/disabled to make then AVAILABLE to the sim, so that by removing the ones you are not interested in, you might speed to the simulator startup time.

However, "available" doesn't mean "assigned" to an airport or a gate. You do that with the operator page, assuming the operator is available.

Got it! Consider this topic closed then. The manual for the Livery Manager did not specifically mention this, thats why I was so confused.
