Update for P3D - is it safe? [Yes it is!] 😁
« on: July 29, 2025, 06:49:32 pm »
Having seen the new features specifically relating to VGDS I’d like to update my rather old version. It’s old but everything works.  :D

With some posters having problems I’m a little reticent to do so when restoring my existing version is very difficult.

@virtuali? Can you recommend this update with confidence? I do appreciate your continued support for P3D.

Ray I would not recommend updating the P3d version if you use and fly into FSDT airports.

Something happened with the recent large update that has caused issues and I don’t believe the issues have been resolved yet.

@okupton, many thanks for the advice. I have all the FSDT airports plus FSL Concorde which interacts heavily with GSX.

A fellow Concorde user did report issues but has since reported them cleared. I see there’s been another update today.

I’ll stick for now and hope Umberto will post.
Cheers,

Ray thank you for letting me know about today's update. After an initial peak, it looks like issues I referenced previously are resolved!

You’re welcome. So should I ask you? Is it safe?  ;D

Well I haven't done much testing to say all is clear. but will do more tomorrow.  I am flying the FSLabs A320 which, like the Concorde, interacts heavily with GSX and no issues since the update.

Will try to fly a couple of routes between FSDT airports tomorrow and let you know how things go.

@okupton, update done and all seems okay with one exception regarding fuel load into FSL Concorde. It’s occurred quite recently according to FSL staff. Separate topic. Thanks for your reassurance.  :D

If you fly into or out of KSDF, you're gonna want to wait... see https://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,33416.0.html

This is affecting me as well.

Only rarely.
