Tracking GSX Updates
« on: October 21, 2019, 03:53:52 pm »
I was notified in P3D V3.4 that a GSX update was available and options were to update now/later/never. Today, I decided to download the update via FSDT updater.
Not knowing what the update was all about brings me to a question...Is there a way I can view the changes and purpose of the update, now and for future updates?
I suppose theses update are small so they wouldn't cause the version of the program to change.

Thanks for your time.

There's the change log.

https://www.fsdreamteam.com/couatl_liveupdate_notes.html
Thanks for the info. Where can I find this change log on my rig?
Edit:

I found Couatl_Updater.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager.
There I found and older couatl_liveupdate_notes.html dated 10/122018. I did
not see the new update log in that directory. Just curious where I can find
the new change logs or where they are suppose to be.

It doesn't look like the change log on your computer gets updated, as I noticed the same issue. Think the link I gave you is about as good as it's going to get.

Okay Kevin,

It sounds like you had same issue as I did. So, I guess the changelog was supposed to show in the directory I mentioned my older one was but didn't,
So, if next update change log doesn't appear on my computer then am I to come here looking for future changelog files?

Thanks for your help.

That's the only way I've been able to look at them, anyway. I'm kind of curious as to why they don't get updated on our computers.

Me too. I always thought providing the change log was standard practice.

Of course there's a way to check the change log:

Addons->Couatl Live Update->Check Live Update->2 - Read the Latest release notes.

I have a shortcut to the details of the latest releases. Until a couple of days ago it was working. It isn’t now.
