Error when trying to select parking spot
« on: June 14, 2013, 06:08:25 pm »
Hey Umberto,

I'm getting an error saying an unknown addon has caused couatl to restart every time I land at an airport and try to select a parking spot.  From the error log:

Quote from: couatl.err
couatl v2.0 (build 2337)
panic log started on Fri Jan 11 15:11:00 2013
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "couatl\common\fsm.py", line 67, in executeDoFuncToCompletion
File "couatl\GSX\assistanceServices\baseAssistanceVehicle.py", line 243, in do
File ".\contextlib.py", line 33, in __exit__
File "couatl\common\engineNoiseEmitter.py", line 56, in running
File "couatl\GSX\assistanceServices\baseAssistanceVehicle.py", line 236, in do
TypeError: 'NoneType' object is unsubscriptable

I have downloaded and reinstalled the most recent standalone addon manager, do I need to reinstall GSX as well?

From the error log:

Are you sure you don't have anything else in the Couatl.ERR file ?

As you can see, that error dates back in January. In any case, try to install the full GSX installer, it might be necessary if you missed a major update in the past.

Yep.  Installed the latest full version, and all is well again.  I'm just wondering what may have caused the issue.

You might have ignored a major update in the past and, applying a minor update after having skipped a major one, might cause such problems.
