KORD Departure- CAY102
« on: May 24, 2008, 08:56:05 pm »
Hey guys! First post on these forums. Just bought KORD the other day, loving it so far. Really excellent work on it. Just the one shot at the moment of Cayman Airways departing to MWCR, flying with Cayman Virtual, www.flycay.com

Cheers  ;D

Stupid question.

How do you make screenshots?

Press the button right next to F12 and paste it (Ctrl V) into paint (or any other graphic program), then save it as .jpg, last but not least upload it to a server like imageshack or photobucket. Hope this helps.

Or, better, get any free screenshot maker and use it as many times as you want.
After your FS session paste and edit these pics in any graphic editor, could simply be MS Paint.
Here's one simple to try (FSScreen):

"Press the button right next to F12"

I take it you are talking about the print screen button, is that correct?

I appreciate you getting back to me.

Maybe I am doing something wrong.

I pressed print screen button to make a screen shot and nothing happened or it
went somewhere I have no glue to look.  Should I get a dialog or save box after pressing
print screen?

Thanks again.

If you are using FSX, there's no need to use the "Print Screen" button. There's a specific hotkey JUST to take screenshots, which defaults to "V", and will create a .BMP screenshot named with current date/time, under your "My Pictures\Flight Simulator X" folder.

If you are using FS9, the "Print Screen" doesn't SAVE a file, it will just COPY the whole screen into the Clipboard, so you can then open any Paint program (even default Windows Paint) and then PASTE it into a new file, that you can name and save as you wish.

Also, if you are using FS9, and you are using Windowed mode, it's best to use ALT+Print Screen, because this will copy just the current active Window, compared to Print Screen, which will copy the whole screen, including your desktop, if FS9 is running in a Window.
