Well after manually installing the passengers, I was able to get them to show up during boarding/deboarding and no pink textures at all. The crew are wearing the correct uniforms and everything but I wasn't able to get them to be seated and show up so I can't really report if it worked or not. Especially since I know they tend to work when walking but turn pink when seated.
Hey mate, can you detail the procedure to get my GSX PAX visible seated well?

Oops!!! I can't believe it! Still PAX pink or missing textures since long time ago, days, months, years.
I dream to have a permanent fix.

Are you now referring to JUST Seated passengers in the PMDG 777, which is the subject of this thread, or missing textures in general ? And to be even more clear: missing textures for Seated passengers in general in all airplanes, or missing textures in general ?

Those are 3 completely different issues so, if your comment is NOT the 1st case (the only one related to this thread), open a new thread, with a proper title, and we'll proceed from there.

I am facing about the PAX seated as pink color with the 777 yes and I assume is due to missing textures from somewhere. What I understand is when is pink color usually is due to a missing textures.
But also, I think is something related with PMDG not accepting GSX PAX, not sure. I asked to PMDG forum, and I have been told is GSX task to fix it. But, again I see pink then a texture is missing. Am I right?
Thanks Umberto to point out my comments and I hope you can give me lights to understand better.

That's not very clear. Do you have:

1) pink passengers that walks to the airplane AND pink passengers after the sit

OR

2) pink passengers ONLY after the sit ?

Case #1 is clearly a GSX installation problem (partial installation, corrupted/missing files), while case #2 is something related to the Seated passengers installation only, related to the airplane or the livery, and all known reasons and solutions are explained in the manual page 98, with the most common case, using a 3rd party livery in a folder not named following the airplane standard.

Umberto, yes, it is the 2) pink passengers ONLY after the sit. But the Manual page 98 won't help me at the end. Then, I think it is something I will need to check on the livery and maybe some instructions are missed. I will do more research on that in the Community folder. So, clearly is not a GSX or PMDG issue, it has to be from the livery. Thanks so much!

Same here with 777-300ER (2020):

all good until pax get seated. Then pink textures for the pax. I also checked the 777W livery folders. It seems nothing is done in there. No layout.json update (don't know if this is needed), no texture.cfg update (fallback GSX folder are not in there), no model.gsx or ..xml files in the livery model folder. GSX seems to update the main 777-300 folder but not the 77W livery folders.

Okay, at least for the 300ER (MSFS2020) I found the culprit.
The 300ER doesn't need any changes in the model folder of the respective airline folder (don't know if it's the same with the 200, cause I don't own it). But you need to change every texture.cfg in the texture folder of the repsective airline/livery to get in the GSX fallback textures for the seated passengers.
Again confirmed: GSX (or better the FSDT installer) isn't doing that, when you switch on the seated pax option for the 300ER. It does nothing in the respective airline/livery folders.

Now, after I fixed the seated pax thing, at least for the 300ER (which is kind of a GSX/installer problem), I now face the annoying door problem. Doors open and close the whole time during boarding or deboarding, neither me nore GSX have full control over the doors. Even if I disable all automatic door management in the GSX 777 profile, still PMDG (I guess it's PMDG code) is fiddling with the doors in the background. 1L opens all the time (even when there's no stairs or jetway). I can't close the cargo doors (they open again all the time, until I undock from the gate). The back stairs only leave when I close the door. But after closing it, they open again. So I have to do it twice.

I'm pretty sure there's nothing that can be done on the FSDT side. Since this is PMDG, not enabling the pilot only to have full controll over all doors. Oh man, they did some good things, a few decades ago. But now....
