Parking has a Jetway
« on: August 03, 2014, 11:23:11 pm »
Hello,

i just want to ask if it is possible for you to read, from the corresponding Airport XML file, if
a parking Position has a Jetway or not?

If that is possible i want to ask if it is possible to have this info in the Gate select Dialog of GSX?

Sometimes i miss this info.

Thanks
Matthias

GSX has always recognized the presence/absence of a jetway automatically, directly from the scenery .BGL, without any intermediate decompiling step.

If a jetway is recognized, it will be displayed by the checkmark on the scenery customization dialog, and of course you can change it, usually to enable the recognition of jetways that don't exists ( static jetways on 3rd party airports that don't have animated jetways )

But is it possible to have a info ( for example a Little "J" ) in the Gate Select Window of GSX?

That would be very great!

Hello,

wellcome to the GSX community...it's nice here.
The Support is very fast and you will always get a Response.

For me there are sometimes things asked by me to implement ( like a virtual GPU/ASU )
which will not be implemented. This i can really not understand because i did not ask for a functionally
ASU/GPU ( as example ). I ask just for a virtual one which we can enable/disable via the Menu.
So every one who dont want it must not activate this.
Also th Connection with Topcat will not be implemented.
Then there are a big mistake in the Pushback procedure ( the Walkout assistant HAS NOT to ask the Captain to release the Brakes ) which
will also not be changed.

But Overall the Support is really nice.

The question about the passenger's are asked because we had this a Long time ago.

I never said it won't be changed, I always tried to get a precise, complete, explanation on how, in your view, the Pushback procedure should be changed, but I never got a clear answer.

Without even mentioning that, if you search several aviation forums where real life ground operators post, and it seems that each time somebody post his own version of the pushback procedure, he always starts with "I do pushback at the xxxx airport, everybody that posted before got it all wrong, we do it this way", and it's a different version of it so, it's clear that it's not the same across different part of the world and airlines.

But if you send me a PRECISE description of what changes you would like to see, we'll consider it. Yes, you sent me a PM a while ago, but I didn't understand it very well, because it was a bit confusing the way it was written.

He Virtuali,

please...during the Beta Phase of GSX i send you the complete Procedure from my work.
Please remember, i told you i did this Job a Long time at EDDP Airport.

If you have lost the Documents i will explain again what is wrong.
It is really not so much, but it is an important part.

Ok, the only Thing is that the Walkout assistant NEVER HAS TO ASK the Pilot to release the Brakes.
Thats the important ( wrong ) Part at the Moment.

How can you Change it?

Ok, the right Procedure is that the Pilot turns on the red ACL and then the Pilot just informs the Walkout Assistant that
he can remove the chocks. The Walkout Assistant then informs the Captain that the chocks are removed and then
the is asked to release the Brakes.

Did you get it?

So just because you did this at an airport in Europe, this means its automatically correct everywhere else in the world?

Did you that Job one times? even in europe or anywhere else?

Ps.. Virtual, the Chocks are also something i ask to implement.
