Stairway at gates with jetway

Hello Umberto

When I docked my plane (PMDG737NGX) at a gate with jetway, and ask for boarding or deboarding, a stairway is automatically put at the plane's rear door. That's not realistic. Is there a way to get this stairway doesn't show up? Finally, the stairs are not used at all.

That's the way it always has been.  A European thing.  People have been asking Umberto for years to not default the staircase but that has fallen on deaf ears.  You need to turn that option off for each gate.

Was just going to request this feature as well. At least with new update, you can select all gates with a jetway and disable the staircase in one go. But it would be nice to have an option to do it within the settings.

in the sim with GSX functioning/running, while parked with engines off at a gate, push Ctrl+F12 (default key command to open GSX window). Then the last option is "Customize this parking location" when you select that option, GSX will open a new window which is the Gate Editor. At the top left of that window you will see an option that says "Select all gets with /J" click that and then on the window you will see a box for Disable Staircase. Click that box and then click apply. WAIT FOR GSX TO PERFORM THE APPLY before moving on to another function/command/edit (should take no more than 1 minute or less). You now will not have any staircases at any parking position with a Jetway on it.
