Very very bad FPS
« on: October 19, 2015, 02:29:03 pm »
Hello everyone.

Since a few weeks my FSX does not get over 8 FPS (max) and I have tried pretty much everything that was in other forums etc.

Changing the Graphics also doesn't change anything. Overclocking doesn't change anything either.

Specs:

Mainboard AM3 - Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 (Chipset:AMD 970/SB950/ATX)

GPU 2x 2048 MB AMD Radeon HD 7870

RAM 2768MB DDR3 Dual Channel 1333MHz (4x 8GB)

Harddrive 1 128GB SATA III Samsung 840 Pro SSD

Harddrive 2 (with fsx on it) 2000 GB SATA III, 7200upm

running on Windows 10

I hope this is enough and I also hope that you got some tips.

Thank you in advance

Hi,

Have you deleted your FSX CFG file and restarted FSX? I find that when something like that happens somewhat suddenly, I need to check what you did just before the trouble began. New scenery, afcads or other downloads. Could the dreaded antivirus be affecting FSX? Consider a system restore to a date when all was well. Use a scenery config editor to uncheck unused scenery.

Good luck.
