Jetways
« on: October 29, 2013, 02:18:10 am »
I have a small issue....I have FSX and my jetways wont move....doesn't matter if its a default or 3rd party custom built airport. Engines are off, I'm at the proper parking gate for my size of aircraft etc....I know GSX doest effect jetways but don't know what else to do.....Any suggestions???

BTW...all other GSX cars and trucks move with no problems.....

Where is your front wheel in relation to the stop line?  Too far forward or back, jetways won't work.

The jetways move to the default planes and my 747-400's.....but wont budge to my SkySpirit 767's.....I read somewhere that it might have something to do with the aircraft cfg file and the exits....

Most likely because its configured for FS9 aircraft that are FS9 work for FSX but the "exits" in the aircraft.cfg will be wrongly configured in FSX.
In FS9 it will look like this.

[exits]
number_of_exits = 4
exit_rate.0 = 0.10                               ;Percent per second
exit_rate.1 = 0.09                               ;Percent per second
exit_rate.2 = 0.10                               ;Percent per second
exit_rate.3 = 0.09                               ;Percent per second

In FSX it will look something like this (But don't copy it in to your cfg this is for the 747-400)
[exits]
number_of_exits =3
exit.0 = 0.4, -30.30,  -9.0,  0.88,0 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)
exit.1 = 0.4, -146.0,   8.0, -7.5, 1 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)
exit.2 = 0.4, -42.30,   9.0, -7,   2 //openclose rate percent per second, longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet), type (0=Main 1=Cargo 2=Emergency)

If you switch to a default aircraft (or a native addon aircraft) it should work.

It looks it the 767's are set for FS9....quick fix would be to download a "pure" FSX 767 and add the textures to that file.....

Thanks for all the help!!!

Here's the Skyspirit 767-300 code
[exits]
number_of_exits = 4
exit.0 = 0.1, 73.7, -6.0, 7.5, 0
exit.1 = 0.1, -33.00, 5.85, -6.0, 1
exit_rate.2 = 0.10
exit_rate.3 = 0.09

There is a site for adding exit information for Project Opensky aircraft to get the jetways to move. You can try it and see what happens.
