Seasons (White) ?
« on: January 28, 2013, 11:19:01 pm »
Right GEX shows Vancouver as it should be this time of the year....no snow, at least no accumulation of snow, yet CYVR is full of snow and it looks awful on approach, everything is brown then the Airport is covered in White snow, I also noticed if you PNW by ORBX it shows snow but when i fly the NGX I turn of the ORBX stuff to keep my FPS up and just use UTX/GEX, anyways can we get a Seasons switcher so I can turn the seasons on and off myself?

It's optional in the installer, you can set it how you want.

You cant, thats my point, it only lets you use one seasons, evergreen...which is green. We need Spring, Summer and Fall..no Winter.

How do we switch it back after installing?

By editing the %APPDATA%\Virtuali\Couatladdons.ini, as explained here:

http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php?topic=7960.0

[cyvr]
lastwinterday=32
lastspringday=300

This is with 3 seasons: Winter up to February 1st, Spring up to end of October and Fall up to the end of the year:

[cyvr]
lastwinterday=32
lastspringday=366

This is with 2 Seasons, Winter and Spring only

[cyvr]
lastwinterday=0
lastspringday=366

This is Spring only

And of course, manual editing allows for configurations not provided in the installer such as:

[cyvr]
lastwinterday=0
lastspringday=300

for no Winter and Spring+Fall

[cyvr]
lastwinterday=32
lastspringday=0

only Winter + Fall (this is like version 1.0)

The numbers control the exact date (days from January 1st) when the switch happens.
