Error Message at NZQN Queenstown
« on: March 06, 2012, 02:17:29 pm »
Unable to activate GSX at Queenstown New Zealand NZQN in FSX default scenery.

Stock airport NZQN APX92480.bgl

This is the pop-up message I get:
The addon <unknown> is causing Couatl Scripting Engine to Restart. Details can be found in Roaming/Virtali/ Couatl/.err.

This is the Couatl.err.

 couatl v2.0 (build 2298)
panic log started on Tue Mar 06 16:35:04 2012
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "couatl\GSX\__init__.py", line 422, in onSimStart
File "couatl\GSX\__init__.py", line 374, in checkOnGroundState
File "couatl\GSX\__init__.py", line 326, in checkAirplane
TypeError: 'NoneType' object is unsubscriptable

1. Note Queenstown NZQN is  a default FSX airport.
2. I have downloaded and installed the FSDT Standalone Addon Manager.
3. I have tried reinstall of GSX but problem remains.
4. To my knowledge NZQN is the only airport with the problem.
5. How can this be rectified or can I remove NZQN from the GSX library as I cannot fly in or out of NZQN at the moment unless I uninstall GSX.

Appreciate any assistance

Which airplane you were using ? When the error happened, exactly ?

Aircraft in use at the time:
Default Beech Baron first time the message appeared so I restarted FSX with the default Cessna 172 with the same error. Lastly I tried the PMDG 737-800 (WL) NGX and the error came up again.

If I move to another airport, NZCH Christchurch for example GSX runs normally

I'm asking because, there are no problems whatsoever with the NZQN airport, using the default scenery. Are you sure your AFCAD is really default and hasn't been modified ?

And, I've also asked what you need to do for the message to appear, just going to the airport, or selecting an operation (if yes, which one ?)

Just located my problem, my FSX Directory has a folder titled "RWNumberUpdateSubs", inside that folder I located a file "NZQN.bgl" which created a hidden modified AFCAD. I renamed the .bgl with .bak and problem solved. This effectively made the stock AFCAD APX92480.bgl active again.

I can now open NZQN Queenstown and GSX is running normally.

Have a feeling this RW Number Update is part of VoxATC.

Many thanks for your time assisting me with the problem, GSX really does add life to FSX and having it available at ALL airports is fantastic.
