FBW A380 Couatle Crash
« on: November 27, 2025, 12:03:49 am »
I was recently getting a Couatle crash in MSFS2020 when using GSX with the FBW A380 aircraft.

After quite a bit of diagnosis, I realized that the problem happens specifically at the parking spot 1R at KXNA Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport. This parking spot is on a large cargo ramp, and the wingspan of the A380 goes to the edge of the paved area. Therefore, when GSX connects to the aircraft and begins deboarding, Couatle crashes with a Simobject error in the log.

Only when I set the passenger bus to NEVER, does the crash stop. This must mean that, when GSX attempts to spawn the bus, there is no clear path to the aircraft due to the location of the parking spot and the size of the aircraft, causing the crash.

I just wanted to bring this up in case anyone was having a similar issue with other aircraft at other locations. For those parking spots, just edit the parking spot and turn the passenger bus option to NEVER.

Maybe, in the future, the developer can address this with another option or workaround.
