Jetways Not Connected to Terminal - MSFS 2024
« on: November 21, 2025, 12:30:03 am »
Hi

I have just installed/linked GSX to MSFS 2024 and have noticed that at a variety of default airports jetways are no longer attached to the terminals (see pics of EGPF as an example).

Is there something I can do to get these links back?

Thanks

Luke

I have just installed/linked GSX to MSFS 2024 and have noticed that at a variety of default airports jetways are no longer attached to the terminals (see pics of EGPF as an example).

This doesn't have anything to do with GSX, it's one of the oldest bugs reported to Asobo, even way before GSX even came out and in fact, it should be very clear from your screenshot it doesn't have anything to do with GSX:

1) The GSX replacement jetways are not even installed in MSFS 2024, you can see the jetway config page is empty.

2) Which is further confirmed by the fact those ARE default jetways, so we can also discount the possibility that, due to any kind of problem, the GSX replacement jetways for MSFS 2020 would have been installed in 2024 by mistake. In this case, you would have seen the GSX jetways (with logos, etc.).

Sorry, but I'm not sure I follow your logic.

Without GSX installed I have perfectly obvious links to the terminals from every single jetway, so there is no problem with default MSFS. It is only once I install GSX that they disappear (per the picture).

I understand that default Glasgow contains default jetways, and that GSX in MSFS 2024 is not changing them, but it clearly is doing *something* to cause the links to the terminals to disappear. Once I uninstall GSX they reappear.

Again, to be clear - without GSX I see links to the terminal as there should be. With GSX installed they disappear per the screenshot.

Are you trying to tell me that, even though I only see the problem when GSX is installed, it has nothing at all to do with it and is purely an MSFS problem??

FSDT will never admit something is wrong with their product. Always Asobo's fault. 😁

What is this, the leading post for the best fake news of the year ? Let's see FACTS, shall we ?

Here's my first report of the problem to Asobo Devs Forum, dating back July 1 2022, that was BEFORE GSX even came out!

https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/t/some-longstanding-jetways-issues/4487

The reports was, of course, made with an EMPTY Community folder and, guess, what, after some explanation, FlyingRaccoon, who is an Asobo Developer, confirmed the bug and was able to reproduce it!

. 2) & 3) I was able to produce both issues on LIMC using your guidance. It’s not a 100% repro but reliable enough for us to be able to investigate it

But we can go on, with OTHER scenery developers confirming it: this is from pyreegue, one of the most talented airport developers out there:

Huge upvote to this. Jetways also connect different every time.

Another developer I don't know:

Hi! Is there any news on this? This issue impact all of our airports, since we only use default jetways, and our users have been consistently asking for a solution.

The problem with randomly disconnected jetway links also has been reported by many users in my CYOW.

him again, in 2023

The problem is still there in the latest beta! I don’t have any path to resolution. It’s embarrassing, I don’t know what to tell customers when they complain about it!
