Two pushback tugs?
« on: October 05, 2025, 05:23:13 pm »
Can you advise on this one please, it looks like I'm getting 2x GSX pushback tugs, happy to be corrected if I've overlooked a setting perhaps, and the cause is outside GSX maybe.

Sequence:
Call for pushback and that works fine
Set parking brake as requested and confirm good engine start
Tug #1 then departs
But as it's doing so, tug #2 appears

There's no option to end/revoke pushback I can see in GSX menu
Not sure if coincidence but today I noticed that releasing park brake seemed to make tug #2 depart
But nose wheel steering seems unresponsive
Perhaps coincidence again, but I went to FMC steering option, then exited without change and nosewheel steering was working again

EGLL, Inibuilds, all scenery options turned off
PMDG 777-300, I don't think there are other pushback options here

I also tried restarting Couatl but there was no change.

Video for reference, and pointers appreciated. As per another thread I thought it was the GSX profile, I reinstalled that and thought that was it, but it seems not.

thanks in advance
Dave

The 2nd tug is NOT a GSX Pushback tug. It's a DEFAULT Pushback tug that "looks like GSX", because GSX also replaces models for several default ground vehicles, but that is still a default pushback operated by the sim when the default Pushback procedure is called, so it has nothing to do with GSX.

The reason why you are getting it, is that either you (maybe a keypress conflict?) have activated the default Pushback, or you have another pushback add-on installed which is interfering, or the airplane itself has decided to call the default Pushback procedure.

Nothing in the whole GSX ever uses the default Pushback so, whatever the reason, it's not GSX.

Thanks for the reply Umberto. As you could probably see from my query I wasn't sure it was GSX, but as both tugs were BA liveried I was uncertain of source for #2, thanks for explaining that.

If there was a sim/aircraft option I'd overlooked I'd happily accept that and learn from it, but before posting I checked all sim options I knew of, and had a good look in the 777 FMC, where the pushback option is greyed out.
I don't believe I had a keypress conflict as I will have used the GSX menu called up from within Flow Pro and then just responded to whatever prompts were required. That said I'll have another look at in-sim bindings, just in case.

As a bit of extra info though, I was looking at GSX options that may "fix" anything that other components had brought into play, and decided to use the Live Update option, which then does a lot of stuff before completing.
It may be coincidental but so far...it hasn't repeated, and nothing else has been changed. If it stays that way I'm good!  :)
