Jetway not moving during boarding, and pink passengers
« on: September 03, 2025, 05:26:19 pm »

Hello,

I recently purchased GSX, and it worked perfectly (the best addon for MSFS for me!). However, now I’m experiencing some issues:
   •   When I use PMDG 737-800 (or any aircraft) during boarding, the jetway does not move.
   •   If I park at a stand without a jetway, GSX works: stairs move to the plane, passengers board, but passengers appear green/pink.

What I have tried to fix the issue:
   •   Reinstalled GSX.
   •   Updated to the newest version.
   •   Checked GSX jetway settings.
   •   Unticked “Seated passengers PMDG 737-800”.
   •   Tried with and without additional scenery.
   •   Checked GSX profiles for both aircraft and airport scenery.

I would really appreciate your help in resolving this issue. :)

Hi, I have the same problem so I am currently using the default MSFS gateways on arrival and arranging for a departure from the parking area, with stairs and therefore passengers.

FSDT's silence is frankly irritating; minimal communication would be welcome rather than reading "it works here." Or else, tell us how "here" is configured.

I would add that the jet bridges are sometimes detached from the buildings.

Apparently Discord is where the dev is most active. I’m not joining yet another platform to get answers though.

No, I haven't responses on discord. So it seems logical to try obtain them on others forum.

I, too, "upgraded" (yeah sure) to 3.7.1, and now I, too, have non-working jetways, with the error "bad jetway data". Uninstalled yet again and I'm done with it for now. It's another hot mess and unusable.

Yep, same here: all gsx jetways are not connected to buildings and none work. On Discord there is ni support....its a mess!! And meanwhile gsdreamteam is promoting gsx on msfs forums..
For the jetways: I have removed all gsx jetways so ot uses,fs 2020 default jetways. These are connected to buildings and they work. Yet again: gsx is a mess including non existing support

To Kimchi and Kingnorris, the best way (for me) to replace for the moment this problem is :
- deactivate all airports in jetway GSX configuration
- buy (arround 5$) LFVR Jetways Pro (I bought it by MSFS shop)
- try to choose departure on parkings in order to have GSX stairs and passengers
- if not, if you want a gate, you have to look previously in MSFS map (or google maps) if the jetways is very near the aircraft door or shortest than
others (see picture) because LFVR have another problem with too short jetways in many cases
- at arrival, if the gate is in the previous case, don't look passengers debording (in fact, the real situation for pilots) and finish your flight with GSX audio

Seems like a lot to do to make it somewhat acceptable, when everything worked just fine before update 3.7.0. Also before the installer went haywire, forcing us to use the offline one.

One can only hope the silence is because the team is looking “under the hood” for a fix.

Until then, I’m done.

You are reporting two completely different and unrelated issues:

Missing/pink objects

Try all of these:

- Click the CHECK button in the FSDT installer, which will verify the integrity of all installed files.

- If that doesn’t work, try to download and install the Offline Installer, found on the MSFS section of the “Products and Downloads” page of the FSDT site. There are two links for it, it doesn’t matter which one, they are just mirrors hosting the same installer.

- If that still doesn’t work, try another update CHECK after you installed the Offline installer.

- If that still doesn’t work, there might be a problem with your local cloudflare node, so try updating using a VPN

- If that still doesn’t work, your problem is not GSX, it’s caused by having reached the maximum number of Simobjects in a scene, because your settings (especially AI and Ground vehicles density) were too high. Several users confirmed that by lowering the density for AI and Ground vehicles fixed the problem of missing textures and objects.

Jetways not working

This is different depending if you use MSFS 2024 or MSFS 2020:

If you are using MSFS 2020

- The only thing to check is to be sure if you are using a 3rd party or handcrafted default airport, GSX replacement jetways have been DISABLED for that airport, since they are only meant to be used for bare default airports.

- If GSX replacement jetways have been DISABLED for that airport, your problem IS NOT GSX, if the jetway doesn't work, it's completely unrelated to GSX.

If you are using MSFS 2024

- GSX replacement jetways are not even INSTALLED in MSFS 2024 so, again, your problem IS NOT GSX, if the jetway doesn't work, it's completely unrelated to GSX.
