Scenery VDGS instead of GSX's
« on: September 03, 2025, 04:03:12 pm »
I am using the EDDB addon from Aerosoft which has the real life vdgs, but since I installed gsx, they are shifted away from the centerline of the parking position.
Is there a way to disable gsx's vdgs for one particular airport and use the original instead? Will the original vdgs be in the correct place after that?
Even if I would put only a "screen"-vdgs over the original ones, it would not only look unrealistic, they are still shifted away from centerline.

GSX doesn't change or add VGDS to an airport just by installing it. In order to see GSX VGDS, you must install a GSX airport profile, so this cannot have possibly have happened just by installing GSX, you also had to install a GSX profile for the airport.

If you found the GSX VGDS are not in the correct position, it's likely the GSX profile for that airport is not correct, not made for that airport, or not updated to the version of the scenery you have installed so, first thing is to check with the author about this, because you usually want to use the GSX VGDS with GSX, since with a custom profile they are *usually* more coherent.

If you can't fix this with the profile author, check if he has provided with an alternate version that has all GSX customizations added, except the VGDSs, which will be the ones from the scenery. Many profile authors usually offers this alternative when the airport has its own VGDS.
