2024 SU3
« on: August 21, 2025, 04:10:16 pm »
With the release of SU3 for 2024, I'm now having difficulties with 3.6.8 GSX. So far have only tried with the CRJ, but can't get GSX to sense the parking brake is on, nor can I get the in sim GSX menu to appear.

I'm sure you're working on the necessary updates. I'll patiently wait.

Don't think there's a SU3 compatability issue as I've been using both today with no changes. If you provide a log file you are more likely to get a response from those in the know.

Thanks - it's been a while since I had to export a log, I can't find the notes on how to do that.

Anyway, in the sim, the GSX menu isn't coming up and in the CRJ, soon as I press for the GSX menu, I get the buzzer saying to set parking brakes, when they're already set. The day prior to SU3 installing, I had no issues.

Digging into the issue more, I'm experiencing this across all planes.

The parking brake is functioning in reverse. It's not a key binding problem, as the parking brake lever in the plane is binding correctly. The behavior is just backwards - when the brake handle is set, the brake is released, and vice-versa. Seems others are reporting the issue as well.

If anyone knows of a fix?

Digging more - Think I found the issue.

SU3 set key bindings I didn't have prior. I use a Bravo Throttle and have specific bindings to the key switches. SU3 had some other settings, conflicting with the parking brake.
the update also changed all my graphics settings. Very irritating.

Anyway, I got it working. If anyone else is experiencing this problem, check for key bindings you didn't have set. Took some hunting, but finally found it.

I am experiencing the problems with GSX pro since the SU 3 release. There was the "brake set" problem, which, thanks to your advice, I managed to resolve. The GSX still doesn't start however.
I have tried updates - checking the files - nothing works. When I am trying to start the services, the strange bar appears on the screen (and stays on until the game is restarted). GSX can not load.
I am running the sim on AMD and NVIDIA.
Any ideas?

The other part of the issue for me was the parking brake behavior was backwards. The SU3 keybindings caused that. Once I deleted those conflicts, the brakes are working correctly and so is GSX.
Are you getting the message (audible) from GSX to set parking brake before starting ground services?

The parking brake issue is luckily solved, but the GSX stiull wouldn't start.

OK, it is now working. I had to reinstall GSX once again, and it is working now.
