[RESOLVED] FSL Concorde- very long time to load fuel.
Ray Proudfoot:
#virtuali, you’re perfectly entitled to take a holiday. I don’t have a problem with that. But perhaps an announcement would let us know. I know we’re a small number these days and I do appreciate your dedication to us.
Nothing regarding refuelling on Concorde has changed from my point of view or with a newer release of the aircraft. The only change has been updates to Couatl via the Update option.
The interaction between GSX and the aircraft is beyond my understanding. More experienced users including those on the test team have also reported the same problem. But I can’t link to them as only owners can read the posts.
The only way to get the fuel truck to depart quicker is to accelerate the fuelling option in Settings. Are you saying the problem doesn’t lie with Couatl?
Ray Proudfoot:
Earlier today I posted this on the FS Labs Concorde forum…
With Concorde positioned at the gate I decided to speed up fuel loading by using the Fuel option on the main menu to load it instantaneously. It did but then after right clicking the Ground Call button the GSX fuel truck arrived and still went through the loading process even though there was nothing to load.
Is this something in the Concorde workflow that needs adjusting to send the GSX Fuel Truck on its way or something in Couatl that has gone wrong?
Being able to load fuel instantly may not be realistic but it does help reduce time before the pushback can start.
Umberto is adamant that because Concorde has its own fuel load procedure it’s nothing to do with GSX. All it does is arrive when requested and depart when fuel is loaded. But what tells Couatl the fuel is loaded and the truck can depart?
It seems this issue can only be fixed by FSL.
@virtuali, would you agree? GSX is only doing what the FSL’s code is requesting.
virtuali:
As I've said, the time the airplane takes to refuel itself (that what happens when the airplane is flagged as having a custom fuel system), is completely unrelated to GSX, which will only stay there with the truck for as long the airplane keep increasing the fuel quantity.

Yes, I agree that GSX does nothing to load the fuel for Concorde. It’s there for effect only.
But I’d like to draw your attention to this posted by one of the FSL staff a few weeks ago on the Concorde forum which is only accessible to paying customers.
“I wonder if the "removed tasklets timeout check from Python 3 engine" back in version 3.5.8 might be the reason some "tasklets" are now never ending.......! I never look at changelogs in normal circumstances but that caught my eye. The "GPU is arriving" one being the showstopper, particularly at remote stands/airfields.”
Might this be related?

Then it would happen with every airplane with a custom refueling, and I'm sure somebody would have noticed it.
