BATC and KORD

Why does BeyondATC say “Taxi at pilot’s discretion” at FSDT KORD instead of giving me taxiway directions?

I think this usually happens when BeyondATC can’t confidently build a taxi route for the airport. FSDT KORD is a really complex airport, and if the scenery taxiways don’t line up perfectly with the navdata BeyondATC uses, it’ll default to “taxi at pilot’s discretion” instead of risking bad instructions. It can also happen if there are duplicate or conflicting KORD AFCADs installed (GSX, AI traffic, older scenery files, etc.). Even with everything up to date, KORD is one of those mega-hubs where BeyondATC will sometimes do this by design
