"GSX has been disabled on this airport by user settings"

Dear FS-DreamTeam,

After several attempts, I now find myself needing to seek advice here in the forum. The following issue remains unresolved on my end: I purchased GSXPro yesterday, followed the instructions for activation and installation and everything seemed to work fine. I then launched MSFS 2020, positioned the aircraft at a gate, and tried to start GSX. However, I received a message stating that GSX had been disabled by the user-settings. I have not made any changes that could have caused this.

All configuration settings have been carried out according to the manual and the gates and vehicles are visible as expected. The only issue is that the menu is being blocked by the error message mentioned.

I then thoroughly searched the forum for any relevant entries and attempted the suggested solutions. Unfortunately, none of them helped. I have performed live updates, uninstalled and reinstalled the software at least five times, used the offline installer, checked admin rights, and so on. I also completely removed all GSX components and reinstalled them, but that did not resolve the issue. Interestingly, GSX works when I spawn the aircraft using "Y" and "F4".

I have reviewed various tips online and tried everything I could think of. I didn’t want to create another forum post, but I am at a loss and have no other course of action.

I kindly request your assistance and hope you can understand my issue.

Is this happening on specific airports only ? If yes, which ones ?

No, this issue is occurring at all airports worldwide.
I am currently using only standard airports and in the
configuration, I have ensured that all standard airports are set to “enabled.”

Is there a specific way I can follow, or perhaps a trick to still get GSX to start? Or is there something else I can check to get my GSX up and running? Because currently, I don’t have the chance to try out this wonderful add-on at any airport.

Perhaps it might be possible to arrange an appointment with a support team? Do you offer remote support?

I just got the update for O'hare in MSFS 2020 tonight and I am getting that message. I only have GSX installed in 2020 and did not link it to 24. I do have 24 Installed so I get the message that jetways services are disabled at this airport and GSX will not open at all. This just started occurring after the new update

If this happens only on FSDT airports, it's because they are not activated, assuming you bought them on the FSDT site or other sites like Simmarket. If you bought them on the MS Marketplace, it's because you don't have the latest updates, I think MS just released them yesterday.

Hi the version that MSFS 2020 installed from the Marketplace was 1.4.7 for FSDT Chicago O'Hare. I reinstalled GSX at version 3.3.4 last night, restarted my PC etc. I appreciate your help on this.

Hello, I have the same problem at KORD. I also have the marketspace version 1.4.7 and GSX version 3.3.4.

Yes, that's why I said IF "it only happens at FSDT airports".

If it happens everywhere, it means your GSX license instead is not working. This is usually caused because you Windows user account doesn't have admin permissions, so your activations which happened in the FSDT Installer ( which always run as admin ), activated the license only on the "administrator" user, but not "you", if your user doesn't have admin permission. The easiest solution in this case is to give your regular user admin permissions, and Reactivate GSX Pro there.

as mentioned here, I'm getting the message GSX has been disabled on this airport by user settings at KORD:

KORD is the FSDT version 1.4.7 from the marketspace, GSX is version 3.3.4 and I'm using FS2020. I also read on Discord that other users have the same problem with the most recent update. Is there anything we can do about this problem?

Ok, my post has been moved here now. I created a separate topic, because it only occurs at KORD for me. Unlike OP, GSX works for me at all other airports, so I assume it must be a different problem?
