Hi,

I'm currently on P3D 5.4 with Windows 11. I've uninstalled and reinstalled GSX (and Level 2) many times and during installation Patcher.exe encounters an error, so it restores the vehicles and airport object BGLs. The rest of the installation proceeds until completion. Then I ran the Universal Installed to update GSX. After running P3D, I get a message at the top that I can use to control panel to disable default jetways. When I do this, I get a window with the Patcher.exe error and the error code. It will not let me disable default jetways. In the sim I can see both default and gsx jetways and I have the ability to customise airport parking postions and jetways.

I have excluded all things FSDT & Virtuali from the windows antivirus and firewall. All VC++ resdistributables and .NET framework are up to date and the windows update is currently also up to date.

At this point, I have almost all functionality of GSX EXCEPT the ability to disable default jetways. Is there a possibility of anyone who has the relevant airport objects and vehicle BGL files to share. I can just place them in my P3D folder and that should disable the default jetways and vehicles. I'm on P3D V5.4, the full version number being: 5.4.9.28482

Have you opened the GSX Control Panel and enabled the option to disable default jetways?
Cheers,
Ray.

Hi Ray,

Unsure what you meant with enabling the option to disable the jetways. I've previously always just clicked on Disable Default Jetways and it worked.

Hi Ray,

That’s the option I was referring to. Your problem sounds like one of inadequate permissions. It might need @virtuali to resolve it.
Cheers,
Ray.

Understood. Thanks for helping, Ray. I've also gone as far as providing all possible permissions available by administrator access in Windows 11 to relevant folders and exe files, including the anti-virus and firewall excludes (default windows). I sincerely can't think what more I can do.

Hi Umberto,

I hope you may read my first post. Really hoping there's a solution to this, as I'm still unable to disable default jetways.
