customizing editor not working
« on: December 26, 2024, 06:57:21 pm »
Hello!

This is my problem: The GSX customizing editor (vehicle location / pushback) starts spinning around the aircraft's center and is uncontrollable.
My System: P3Dv4, FsLabs A320, no fancy addons

Description: I've customized pushbacks and vehicle locations serveral times before, so I am aware how the editor works. Today, I downloaded the latest GSX via the FSDT Installer. Then I wanted to edit some pushbacks, which I found problematic recently. So I started P3Dv4, loaded up the aircraft (in this example, LOWW / F26) and opened GSX via the Addons menu. But after opening the editor, I observed a strange behavior: The editor starts spinning around the center axis. There is nothing it can stop, except the "Y" key, which quits the editor. After quitting, the aircraft finds itself in a random heading.

I did a screen recording and uploaded it to my youtube, as no video attachments are allowed. Notice, that for any reason, my recorder cannot capture the GSX window, so you can only see the P3D window (the mouse movements reflect clicking the GSX window):

Please, help me to understand what's going wrong and how I can solve the issue. Thank you very much!

f the airplane slews away uncontrollably, the problem is caused by one of your joystick not properly calibrated in the null zone. To fix this, be sure you calibrate all your controls AND set a proper Null Zone for all of them, even those you are not using the most.

However, the better fix would be simply removing any joystick axes while in Slew Mode, using the Control Settings page at the Slew mode tab.
