Couatl Scripting Error

Hey there,

I have a similar problem. After the last update, the following message keeps appearing:
"The addon <unkown> is causing the Couatl Scripting Engine to restart. Please perform a live update"
However, this only happens with certain aircraft.
I have already performed live updates several times and also uninstalled my entire FSX. All without success. I don't know what to do anymore and therefore ask for help.
Attached is the error message from Couatl

I have also been getting this error msg. I have seen it with the Sky Spirit 747-8i, as well as Project Airbus A320 and A319. In each case, it happened after switching to these aircraft types, then kept re-occurring.

Still getting this error and Couatl shutdown and I see quite a few others are reporting it as well. No reply yet from anyone on this issue. I have run the updater several timnes each day hoping a fix was simply loaded and not communicated, but that does not seem to be the case yet. Any thoughts?

Hello,
I am a bit relaxed as I see more people are experiencing the same problem, so should be something with the new update maybe. I have the same problem with the blackbox Airbuses but only with them. I ran the live update several times, reinstalled gsx and the bbs Airbus.
I wrote to support they said to recheck and reinstall the aircraft gsx profiles, I did all these but still doesn’t work, and I am getting the same error repeatedly.
"The Addon<unknown> is causing the Couatl Scripting Engine to Restart. Please run Live Update - Do you want to open to see the error detail message”
I tried to open a ticket too on the forum but, anybody hadn’t reply at all yet
Let’s see if we get any fix

This error only coming up on one plane i have installed. All my other planes i don't get the error and GSX work fine.

You can't use an airplane that is not already included with GSX without a profile.

Error is occurring even on planes that have profile configured with FSX.

Yes, for example, in my case, I have been using the Project Airbus A32X family of aircraft for years with GSX with no issues. Suddenly, I cannot use any of them, but my other aircraft work fine. Hope this helps!

I downloaded it and compared it to my log and this is what I find key in similarity "pathToUserCfg() DOES NOT EXIST!!! "<path not found>\Usercfg.opt"" This is very confusing to me as I was able to use this plane before?

Error is occurring even on planes that have profile configured with FSX.

Do these airplanes come with an AES profile (a file named intelliscene.cfg in their root folder) as well? If yes, remove it.

Yes, I removed it and everything is working as before! I checked through all of my airplanes and I only had 3 series that have the intelliscene.cfg file in them. The PA A32X family all had it, the TDS 787-8 had it (but not the -9 or -10), and the Quality Wings 757 had it. I tested all 3 and the PA A32X and TDS 787-8 all resulted in the error, but the QW 757 did not. I removed the intelliscene.cfg file from the PA and TDS airplanes, and success, all working fine. I did not remove it from the QW 757 since it did not seem to causing any issues.

Thank you for this solution!

Yes. working now. Interesting that it only affected some aircraft types and not others that also contain intellisence cfg.

Thanks.

Hello,

I just had almost the same error with a iFly 737Max at RJTT.
In my case the error reported was:

couatl v4.8 (build 5335)
panic log started on Sun Jan 28 10:16:19 2024

problem raised by addon <unknown>
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File ".\GSX\assistanceServices\__init__.py", line 3426, in pushBackRequested
  File ".\common\fsm.py", line 67, in switchToState
  File ".\GSX\assistanceServices\__init__.py", line 3658, in enter
AttributeError: 'Departure' object has no attribute 'pushBackVehicle'

GSX SimStop
createCamera() BaggageLoaderRear Behind
createCamera() BaggageLoaderRear Driver 1st Person
createCamera() BaggageLoaderRear Loading Area

I searched for intelliscene.cfg for the B737 Max but none was found.

On looking at the error and then going to the gate where this error occurred (no GSX pushback occurred and same symptoms as described above for Couatl to be restarted), I went to the airport profile within GSX, went to the Pushback tab and found no pushback was defined.
I changed this to one of the pushback options (selected Left) and this subsequently allowed the pushback to be initiated.

Problem resolved.
