I don't see how this is really something that's related to GSX, the setting is just a P3D setting, if we had to list all the standard simulator settings that *might* have some collateral effect on GSX, we would need a whole P3D instruction manual..

It’s related to GSX because it displays the GSX menu. Nothing else I use shows that window. It’s something that me and probably many others running a 4K screen have to enlarge each time P3D is updated because the cfg file that holds the settings is set back to default which cuts off the bottom menu items.
Yes, it’s not a GSX file but GSX relies on its size to show all the menu items.

No, it DOES NOT display the GSX menu. That setting controls the SIMCONNECT menu, fact you don't use anything else that use it, doesn't make it any less a core feature of the sim and a simulator OWN setting.
Some examples of applications that ALL use the SAME menu are:
- ActiveSky
- SODE ( many 3rd party sceneries used it independently from GSX )
- VRS Tac-pack
These are just the first that came to my mind, I'm sure there are others. It's important to make it clear what's a core function of the sim, and what's GSX, otherwise the next time the P3D menu will crash the sim, as sometimes it does, users might assume it was GSX, that's why we don't want even call it the "GSX menu".

Understood.
