Deicing at Deicing area
« on: February 13, 2020, 06:22:46 pm »
Hi,
Is it possible to get the antiicing at the deicing area in the future?

True that, I've never seen de-icing done at the passenger gate.

Pretty sure they're planning on it.

I can't say I've seen it directly at the passenger gate, though I have been on flights where it happened right after pushback from the gate.

If you own the FSLabs A319/20/21 you can command antiicing thru the ATSU menu, rather than the GSX menu, so you can de-ice at any ground location.

I know this doesn't help other aircraft users.

I do this sometimes, but of course the visuals of the deice trucks don't appear.  It would be nice to be able to see them even when doing the deice away from the gate.  But still a good point.

IRL, happens at KIAD after the jetway retracts. Seen it a lot there (my home airport at the time).
