Author Topic: GSX Won't Install...Source File Corrupted SOLVED (Read 5570 times)

I recently built a new computer (Windows 10 Home 64-bit is the OS) and have installed P3D V4.5. I'm attempting to install GSX and after the files download, the install automatically terminates indicating that the source file is corrupted. I chose to save the install files and all of the .bin files are listed along with the .exe which is only 915 KB in size. Things I've tried so far:

1) Have attempted to download multiple times with same result.
2) Windows Defender is disabled during the download and attempted install.
3) Browser cache is cleared (using Firefox browser).
4) Have attempted to download from a different computer with the same result.

I've run out of ideas on my end and would appreciate any assistance with something I might be missing.

I'm having the same issue as well with P3D V4 installer. It downloads the install file just fine by the looks of it. However, when I go to install GSX, it gets stuck installing the textures saying the file source is corrupted. I've searched the forum and found other users with issues and followed their steps, but to no avail I cannot get this error to go away. I've tried everything I can think of to resolve it.

I cannot replicate the problem but, I refreshed the GSX full installer again, so it will hopefully work now. It's likely an issue with some Cloudflare nodes, that didn't got the latest files.

Also, do i have to install GSX to install airports in P3D4.5. When i try to install airport, i'm asked to install GSX first?. Thanks

Some sceneries requires GSX, that's why the installer is asking for it to be installed.

I am having the same problem. Brand new computer and P3D v4. Multiple files in the GSX install are coming up with the source file corrupted.
Have followed the troubleshooting and still getting the same problem.

Try this:

- clear your browser cache

- remove this folder

Documents\GSX_Installer

- download the installer again from our site ( the smaller installer which downloads the rest )

Thanks for the suggested fix. Unfortunately after following those steps I am still getting the same error. I have attached a screenshot from this attempt.

I'm sorry but, I cannot reproduce the problem. The download works just fine. In addition to the previous procedure ( which should repeat again ), try to disable the antivirus, perhaps it has corrupted the file after the download.
