Coatl Scripting engine has stopped working on P3d startup
« on: April 12, 2017, 08:23:32 pm »
Hi, I am getting the following crash on starting P3D (executing P3D to run).  This does not always happen but seems to be a bit more frequent recently.  I have made no changes recently other than win updates (I have W7 and P3D v3).  When running P3D the message appears that "Coatl Scripting engine has stopped working" and then I am unable to use GSX for any flights.  Below is the message in action centre (error 1000).

Normally I reboot my pc and load again and then it works, but today I did this and got the same message after reboot and on starting P3D

Faulting application name: couatl.exe, version: 3.1.0.3625, time stamp: 0x58921765

Be sure all your P3D original .DLL files are not changed. One in particular, which is API.DLL, must be the original version that comes with P3D, because it's used by our software to recognize the exact simulator version and build number, and if they are not correct, there will be likely crashes.
