Tug for taxi?
« on: February 20, 2017, 01:34:15 am »
is there a possibility of implementing unpowered taxiing, for example having a tug pull the aircraft to gate instead of taxiing via engines, i know Heathrow, Schipol, Frankfurt and CDG all do this, is it planned for the future? or is it not viable

You mean a Taxibot ? Yes, it has been discussed a while ago, and it's surely a possible option for a future upgrade.

Hi virtuali. With the 2D map introduced in the BBFU, I feel like the taxibot is just around the corner. Would you please consider bringing in this feature?  :)

Funny enough, I had the same thought and came here to ask if this was on the roadmap. Would be really cool to have a tug pull an aircraft from a parking stand to a gate!

That is a completely different thing, and it's gate-to-gate pull, which is also planned. Everything is planned. Everything will come.
