GSX crash
« on: February 04, 2017, 07:18:11 pm »
Hello,

since updating GSX to the newest version I'm having an error when starting P3D. At the end of loading P3D there is an error message saying:
"The addon <unknown> is causing the Couatl Scripting engine to restart. Please download and install the latest Stand-Alone Addon Manager from.... Do you want to open log to see error details?"

And the error log is:

couatl v3.1 (build 3625)
panic log started on Sat Feb 04 19:07:32 2017

problem raised by addon <unknown>
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "couatl\common\fsm.py", line 73, in executeDoFuncToCompletion
File "couatl\GSX\assistanceServices\__init__.py", line 825, in do
AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'gsx'
{}
User collision geometries reloaded
Changed AVATAR id (0)

I installed the stand-alone addon-manger from your web-side. Still the error!
I uninstalled GSX and installed it again. Still the error!

So..........what to do ?

When uninstalling make sure you reboot your system. This will force the registry entries to be fully removed.
After rebooting reinstall using the most recent installer. This fixed it for me few days ago.
