Rebuilding database
« on: June 19, 2015, 07:46:28 am »
I notice that gsx rebuilds the scenery database every time any ade file is edited. Since the release of FTX Global Vector, there exists now a clone of the the airports from the main scenery folder. Gsx reads both the scenery folder and the one in orbx. This is essentially doing twice the work so I have to wait a long long while for gsx to finish so I can use it. So could you:

A) allow a directory ignore cfg
B)allow only the edited ade be rescanned by gsx and not the entire scenery database

thx for the hard work!

A) allow a directory ignore cfg

This has been already discussed, and yes, we'll add a feature to create a "blacklist" of folders to be ignored, if this is what you meant.

This has been already discussed and no, the issue is, when there's an extremely high number of files, it takes time just to check if something has changed. This will be fixed by adding the aforementioned "blacklist" of folders that don't contain AFCADs or (even worse) are "clones".
