This a FAQ, so common that we also have it in the manual, and it was discussed countless of times on the forum, try to search a bit.

That 2012 thread clearly said NO PROMISES.

During these years, the VAS consumption caused by other memory hungry products that take like half of the available memory for themselves has become MUCH worse than 3 years, and makes doing something like that really difficult so, we'll not look at it, until there will be an FSX-compatible sim that runs in 64 bit mode.

In any case, it won't be something that will be featured as an upgrade to GSX, but a completely new version.

Hi is there any plans for this now that we are in to Prepar3d V2.5??? Understand some are having issues with the VAS, but I beleive that this is being worked on. Would love to see my passengers boarding and deboarding via steps, especially for aircraft such as the DASH 8, SAAB 340B etc... ANy indication would be nice as I would buy more of your products as IM impressed with GSX.

So thanks

I don't see how this would make any difference for my previous reply about VAS and visible passengers: P3D 2.5 is STILL a 32 bit app.

64bit?? why??

Do you think that animating tens of human characters at the same time, each one with its own skeleton and skin, would be "free", with regard with memory consumption ? Assuming, of course, the fps would not collapse too...

No, really a NO.

BUT you can easy made a seletion ON/OFF for not so strong PC's.
So we can decide if the Frame drop is too much or not for our system.

You are confusing the two issues, which are entirely separate.

1) The lack of a 64 bit sim CANNOT solved by the most powerful PC in the world right now. a crowd of visible passenger WILL NOT fit in memory. We are ALREADY in the situation that with a memory-hungry airplane is very difficult to complete a flight on a complex scenery, there's simply no space left for anything more.

2) IF and AFTER we'll eventually get a 64 bit sim, we'll have to tackle the FPS issue so yes, in THIS case, it would be trivial to have an option not use visible passengers but of course, if the fps would be too low for even "the most powerful PC in the world", it wouldn't make ANY sense for us to work on a very complex feature that everybody WILL have to turn it off anyway.

This is entirely doable, but you cannot expect we'll add everything to the current GSX version, otherwise there will not much to do for GSX 2
