Updating GSX
« on: April 01, 2013, 10:23:09 am »
Hi,

I've been trying to update the GSX. It starts very promising, but always ends up in:

Error
You must enter a full path with driver letter; for example
C:\APP
or a UNC path in the form:
\\server\share

I have tried both from inside FSX and by downloading "setup_addonmanagerX". Both fail the the same error dialog box.

That usually means you have a problem with FSX registry keys, which are either missing or corrupted. You can try using one of the  free FSX registry fix tools (there's one available from Flight1) to repair it.

Now it looks better, but it run through quite some files with "PHYTON files not installed". Is that OK?

Absolutely normal: if you don't have a specific product installed, the installer is informing that nothing is being updated for that product.
