cloud9 f-104
« on: August 16, 2012, 01:23:16 pm »
The problem that I have is engine power of this model is too much. For example , ready for take off ,weight at 27500 lbs, I apply power slowly and when the throttle is at about 80% the power increases so much and if I release the breaks the model behaves like  a rocket and in seconds the speed is at 1000 kts.Imagine what happens at 100% throttle.Platform fs9 , win xp home.Any ideas?Thank you for your time.

Nobody ever reported this problem in the 7 years the airplane has been released. Are you using the realism at maximum ?

I have the realism at maximum. My controller is the saitek x52 calibrated with the fsuipc and I never had problem with other model.I also have the cloud9 F-4 with no problem.I tried to change the F-104 air.file but I had aileron stability problem.I don't know what is the problem.

You really shouldn't touch the supplied .air file, if you did this it's very likely you will see erratic beaviour. Try to remove the .AIR file and reinstall the F104.

I did the reinstallation 2 or 3 times and the problem remains. And something more. When the throttle goes above 80% the aircraft pitches down for a couple of secs just like an aircraft leaves the deck of an aircraft carrier. You are right that nobody had-has the problem I have.I have seen many videos on youtube in gameplay with the F-104 taking off in full power and nice attitude.I don't know what is the problem.Thank you.

That should be enough to understand the problem as I've said, never happened to anyone else before.

If I knew what the problem on your system which is affecting the F104 in a way that nobody else reported before, I would already told you a solution. The one already mentioned are the only ones I can think of. Sorry, but it's nothing related to the product, otherwise we would have hundreds of reports by now, considering the F104 was released in 2005.
