I think I already explained quite clearly that, if the stuttering happens exactly when you turn off the Beacon light, it cannot possibly have anything to do with the Seated passengers because, at that time, GSX has already lost control over them.

The only thing that happens in GSX when you turn on the Beacon light on the Fenix, is that GSX calls for Departure, which creates 3 extra people (the pushback operator and the 2 wingwalkers, if used), nothing else. But if this was really a problem of the pushback procedure, it would have happened even without seated passengers enabled.

Okay, I'll get back in touch with Fenix.

Hi Umberto

I'm in contact with Fenix support, who have asked for a video documenting this issue, which I'm recording and sending tonight.

I've tested the seated passengers with iniBuilds' A350 and the exact same issue occurs. I board just 1 seated passenger and as soon as the beacon light is switched on, the sim experiences heavy stuttering.

I am a big fan of GSX and have owned it since day 1 but I'm convinced that this is a GSX issue.

As far as I know, the ini A350 doesn't start Pushback when you turn on the beacon light, doesn't it ? If that's still the case ( I haven't tested it recent updates, so I'm not sure ), than it's NOT related to GSX creating objects for Departure ( just 3 objects: the main pushback operator and optionally 2 wingwalkers, everything else is already there)

If it's confirmed the iniBuilds A350 doesn't start GSX departure when turning on the Beacon light, it completely clears up beyond any doubt this issue is NOT caused GSX, and it's JUST a result of the new dynamic light projecting over a much more complex geometry ( because there are passengers in *addition* to the airplane cabin ), which means there's just nothing we can do about it. You can, of course, not use Seated Passengers, at least not with the airplanes with the most complex internal cabins.

I think I repeated multiple times that, after everybody is seated, GSX lost any control over passengers: they are just part of the airplane so, if we can discount the hypothesis the stuttering was caused by GSX creating the Pushback crew (which happens on the Fenix when you turn off the beacon light), the only explanation left is just the newly added dynamic light affecting the sim because it's projecting over a much more complex geometry.

Hi Umberto

Thanks for the reply.

I'll send the video to Fenix and if the support team say it's not an issue their end, I'll log a bug report with Asobo.

Cheers
Ryan

Well, of course it's not on their end, if it happens with the iniBuilds A350 as well.  I'm following your report here.

It might be worth checking on a less detailed airplane that still supports Seated passengers, maybe at a very low detail airport, to see if there's any difference. If there is, it's very likely the issue of a dynamic light projecting over complex geometry (airplane interior + passengers + nearbty airport buildings and objects)

It would have been best if you made a video using a screen capture software, so I could read all numbers from the fps counter clearly.

I will do that tonight for you.

I've had this back from MS/Asobo:

The Bug Reporting Hub is only to report issues with the base sim (means without any addons), that is why your report has been moved to the User Support Hub since involving 3rd party addons.
FSDT should report the issue (if not already done) to Asobo via the dedicated devs support forum. If there is an issue with the sim then devs will log a bug on this support site. Hope it clarifies
.

Hi Umberto

Here is the video:

https://1drv.ms/v/c/b10776d48d4260f3/IQAdOvfXrNgPS6fJUf4qdIVyAQzbpBgnWbG0idg_ltxc5Bg?e=HftSRI

If it doesn't play, click 'Download' and it'll then play locally.

I boarded just 1 passenger for this test and it's at a default airport.

Has the issue been reported to Asobo via the dev support forum, Umberto?

Tried again with GSX Pro v3.7.5 and the Fenix A319/320/321 without the update installed and passengers go to their seats then disappear with the door closed/opened.

I'm still not sure if this is something to report.

I can't reproduce this, but it has nothing to do with this thread, which is specific to the effect of turning the beacon light on.
