[Resolved] Pushback definitely broken - P3Dv5.3HF2
« on: March 25, 2023, 04:41:55 pm »
Running Couatl v4.8 Build 5086 in P3Dv5.3HF2.

Positioned at FSDT KSFO Gate D55 in PMDG737-800.

Request pushback. Told to release P/Brake. When I do there's a message to reapply it. Try to display menu and Couatl crashes. Log attached.

Your log shows you don't have the latest update installed, because it refers to a line that has been moved so, first thing to do would be updating.

However, the error seems to indicate something very strange happened, because it suggest the whole pushback truck already disappeared when it was time to confirm a good engine start.

However, since in the latest update we changed exactly that ( vehicles won't be removed until the marshaller walked back to the gate ), it's likely this error shouldn't happen anymore.

Thanks Umberto. Updated and located 737 to same gate. Pushback worked fine.  ;D

Ray.

Umberto, one question. The Ground Handler shows the bypass pin to the pilot after pushback is completed. But zooming in I can’t see anything in his hand.

Is creating one feasible?

Ray.

We tried converting the same character from MSFS to P3D, which in theory should work but, for some reason this didn't work, the animation and the mesh was just full of graphic glitches and was unusable, I have no idea if we just hit the limit of what P3D can do with animated characters, but it didn't work.

Understood. Knowing your attention to detail I’m sure you must have tried.
Cheers,
