Gate Size in KIAH
« on: July 09, 2020, 08:42:14 pm »
Hi,

When I select KIAH and go to the "Change Airport" selection in P3Dv4, I have all the Gates / Ramps available, but no size. It's either a "Ramp GA, Ramp Cargo, Ramp GA Large or Ramp GA Small". It usually displays the gate sizes as small, medium or heavy.

Anything different in Houston?

Thanks for clarification

There's really no such thing as small, medium or heavy gates, those are more of a "simism" than anything. GSX will tell you if your aircraft fits or not and if you'd like to adjust any particular spots to fit your aircraft you can do that with GSX and it will remember for next time.

Umberto,
It's more an "issue" when you load a flight. But than again if you use the GSX method it's o.k.
Thanks again

It's more an "issue" when you load a flight.

Don't forget the "Reposition airplane" menu option, which can jump you "out of" a certain gate ( the one the flight was saved with (), or even just reposition on the current gate, in the position GSX expects to.
