Hi,

I was wondering if it was out the Chicago V2, since on DCTRY it shows that it is the V2, with some screenshots that are old and compatibility to FSX... As I read the topics, it couldn't be the V2 for the BPR and all the new technologies...

That's not the upcoming V2 version, it's the current version which was updated with a "2.x" version in 2011 after the initial release in 2008.

That's why we renamed it "Chicago O'Hare 2011 version" on our site, after announcing the new version, so users won't buy it by mistake assuming it was a new version so, apparently, that site has outdated information taken from our site before we renamed the scenery currently on sale as "O'Hare 2011"

And yes, of course, the new version will require P3D 4.4 as the minimum version, so it won't run on anything less, and there will not be a 32 bit version or a non-PBR version.

What is the runway configuration in the 2011 version and how would it work with the sim?  Meaning in my FMS or MCDU, if I would pick a runway, would it match in the sim or would I have to manipulate the numbers?  I want to see if it would be worth buying for the time being or if it would cause a lot of confusion with ATC.

It is the 2019 configuration that will be used. Usually, it will replace the default version of the sim, so you can directly use the proper gate number or runway, as the fms also... That depends also on the Airac cycle, but it should be fine. P3DV4 has been out in 2017, so it supposed to be the 2017 layout as default, and maybe they upgrade it to the 2018 as the P3D V4.4 came out... I don't know, but there shouldn't be any confusion with tower, even if you use the default one.

Lockheed Martin doesn't update the base sim world. eg there is no VTBS, OTHH or other airports that have been changed or are new.

Far from it. The KORD version that comes with P3D4 is the way it was in 2009.

2006, and that's the date most of the default database is based on.

Oh, but they updated the Montreal... I know they were a new taxiway made in 2016 I think and it's there...

Until FSDT's revamped KORD is released, I'm using Robert Catherall's AFCAD, set to March 2018. It's at https://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=p3dscen&DLID=203492

If you're using current AIRAC files, i.e., Navigraph, etc., this is the way to go.

I'd wait if I were you. The 2011 version still has runway 14R/32L and 14L/32R active, which as far as I'm aware, those runways are no longer active. In addition, what used to be runway 10/28 in the 2011 version is now runway 10L/28R in the real world. Runways 10C/28C and 10R/28L don't exist in the 2011 version.
