I was messing around the KJFK cargo are (DHL), and went to an "unused" area nearby only to see an old(?) hangar with dirt and rust.

It made me realise the attention to detail, and hardwork that is put into every part of the product.
I am used to a quick check of an airport, and then the regular gate to gate flight.

I always thought fsdt is just that, but now I have that much more respect.

Why does that surprise you, this is the dreamteam... not Simflyers.   ???

Yeah, for that time, those were some fantastic sceneries.  Obviously, as technologies improved, those sceneries were left behind.  Although you can see how they improved from their first sceneries by looking at KLAS and KPHX (their last two sceneries).  Both were relatively easy on frames (at least on my low end PC) and had some nice detail too.
