Regional Airports
« on: July 26, 2016, 06:05:53 pm »
Hello I was wondering if FSDT ever thought about doing small projects on the side such as making regional airports a thing. I like to fly in and out of regional airports such as KSFB, KBMI, KPIA, KCMI, and much more. So I was just thinking what if FSDT would be able to extend their services and have small projects as well to remodel some regionals and make them look just as amazing as they do with Major Airports.

I would love PIA.  That's the town I grew up in.  MKE would be amazing as well.  Their next projects however, are CLT and SDF.

I found three of the airports you mention as freeware.

I have a freeware KBMI Scenery but it doesn't quite work well with P3D I can see the taxiways but they are in the grass and it only has 3 gates where as in real life they have 9. If there is an updated version for KBMI or KPIA than I would love to check them out.

Bruce's logic is: "If the airport exists, nobody else can make a better version! You must use what already exists- no matter how old or bad it is".

For KBMI I found this over at Avsim. http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=153691
I don't know if it's "better" or not, or if it's the same you have, but maybe it's a little improvement?
There is a great "Scenery" Site here http://freewarescenery.com/fsx/us.html
It takes a lot of sites and consolidates the scenery they have available. Keeps one from having to look all over the place to try and find a particular airport, large or small. They also have page for place all over the world, or a particular country, for FS2002, FS2004, and FSX. Very convenient.

Maybe this will help out a little?

Yeah those are the same ones that I have. I just would wish that there was an updated version because AirTran is no longer there and BMI has 9 gates now not 3.
