Has anyone added a wake to carriers in P3D v3.3?
« on: June 13, 2016, 10:08:09 pm »
I am starting to use P3D v3.3 with Win 10 and have added AICarriers-NET which works well.

However, when I use the default carrier with AIC set to "Forward" there is no wake visible at all, the carrier appears to be stationary.  This cannot be so since when I land using the Piper Cub it quickly falls off the stern.

I have asked LM about this but the reply seems to be "Nothing doing".  They have made the Landing Light system work well so it seems strange they have omitted the carrier's wake.

Has anyone found a way to add a wake to carriers, please?

Thank you,

Tregarth

Not sure how this pertains to the F/A-18 but I'll answer.  During testing of the Team SDB Enterprise in P3D v3 I found an issue with the wake effect.
So in the sim.cfg file I substituted the "fx_wake_xl" effect included in P3D.

Quote
[Effects]
wake = fx_wake_xl
//wake = fx_CVN65_wake

Thanks for this;at present I am concentrating on re-installing FSX.  Once complete I will move to P3D.
