That's because either you or another addon has mistakenly set FSX to run into a Compatibility mode, like XP/Vista/Win7 under Windows 8 or similar, which is not how FSX is installed by default or should run.

First thing to check, is that you are NOT running FSX into any of the “Compatibility” modes, like XP or Vista Compatibility mode. To check this, go into your FSX main folder, look for the FSX.EXE file, right-click on it, select “Properties”; then select the “Compatibility” tab, and be sure NOTHING is enabled there. All checks should be off, which is how FSX is installed by default.

However, even if you don’t use Windows 8, the suggestion about turning off every “ Compatibility” mode, is valid under Windows 7 too.

Note that, this could happen also if you set ANOTHER add-on that starts together with FSX in Compatibility mode, so it should be turned off for it too.

If you reinstall any of our products, the correct .DLL would obviously be placed in the correct place, which is C:\ProgramData\Esellerate

If the .dll is already there, then it's sure you have something running with FSX in Compatibility mode. The FSX.CFG doesn't have anything to do with this, it's either the .DLL missing, or cannot be located because of the Compatibility mode.

Another possible reason, is if you use a software named Wideview, which used to place an older (only compatible with Windows XP) version of the .DLL in the C:\Windows folder, so it cannot be updated or removed by the installer (the Windows folder needs your manual intervention to be acted on) but it will cause errors to the products that needs and requires the correct one.

esellerate folder in program data is empty.....

Then you might have removed it by mistake so, as I've said in my last post, it will be restored by running any of our installers, for example the Stand-Alone Addon Manager.
