Taxi to runway

Just a suggestion that could work (after the de-icer's of course ,

Would it be possible to have a follow me car take you too the runway like it does from the runway?

It would make life a little easier when I fly out of Memphis next (so many runway's!!!)

It's a good idea to always have the relevant airport diagram on hand. The follow me car is great for arriving because it's not always as easy to find gate diagrams, but the FAA diagram should be fine for departing.

It's a good idea yes, every pilot should have charts on board, which I do! I've a few thousand hours flying so my chart reading skills are ok. Even so, with some big airports with more runways than taxiways, it can get very 'tedious' especially when you have four runways in a row (24L, 24R, 25L and 25R) I'm sure there's an airport out their with 24L, 24C, 24R, 25L, 25C and 25R. I haven't found it yet, but I'm sure I will, whether it's built now or in future.

Don't need charts, use your instruments.  Runway 24 tells you that you need to turn to heading 240, once your headed in the right direction, just follow the AI traffic.

I use Flight Sim Commander 9.5 for flight plans and this gives me a really good plan of each airport.  I also use a free Follow Me car (Follow Me 2 Final) which is really good quality.  I only recently purchased GSX and now use the vehicle in that for parking.  I prefer the GSX one but as no vehicle is provided for the taxi to the runway I have to continue to use Follow Me 2.  Just a heads up for folks.....

I use Proflight Emulator Deluxe [PFE] and one of the many useful features is that the virtual co-pilot will guide you to the runway.

DFW has 35L, 35R, 36L, 36C, and 36R. O'Hare is heading in that direction with 9L, 9R, 10L, and 10C with 10R under construction.
