Title: Trouble with triangles at C5 Intersection
Post by: Mavrick11 on September 26, 2013, 10:02:49 pm

Umberto,

I am running FSX in the DX10 mode. When I turn onto C5 taxi way I will see these triangle shapes on the taxi way.  If I hit them I will crash, and if I just nick them the plane will make a dip like it hit a bump. I have attached a .gif file of what I am talking about. I get the same effect in DX9 as in DX10. Can You help me out? Note: I have uninstalled LAX and re installed it with the same issue. The KLAX airport is for FSX and DX compatible.

Thanking you in advance,

Les H

That should be an hint the issue doesn't have anything to do with DX10, or KLAX supposedly not being entirely DX10 compliant as advertised.

Your problem is that you set your Mesh resolution setting too high, which causes such visual artifacts. Use 5m/pixel and 100% Mesh Complexity, as suggested on the KLAX manual, in the "Design notes" at Page 12.
