Post by: combustionchamber on November 11, 2011, 01:33:03 am
first time in the forum, hello everybody.

if the gsx works in the default fsx airports (purchase pruduct),  will it works in the orbx scenery like (cairns, melbourne, brisbane, camberra and so on????)

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to forums. :)

GSX is going to work on all past, present, and future airports in FSX whether they be payware, freeware or default. So GSX will work perfectly at an ORBX airport, imaginesim airport, fsdt airport, blueprint, whatever.

Hope this helps.

thank you wallace, and hope that fsdt continues in this direction (eg. KLAX is the perfect demostration that a fantastic scenery can be done with a low fps. impact in  FSX) MMRomera dixit.

Hi Carlos,

just to let you know, ORBX is also planning on introducing the same type of animations to their airports called "Vehicle Flow".

From the description, it doesn't seem different at all to what we already have in all our sceneries, we use it for regular airport ground traffic but also for other things including the kite surfers at the hawaiian airports, they are not canned gmax animations, but multiple independents paths that are followed by vehicles with their own physics simulation. We have it on any airport starting with Zurich, which was released 4 years ago.

It's such a trivial feature that, compared to how advanced GSX is, that we never really advertised it with so much emphasis, it's just convenient since it's not a keyframe animation, so the path can be of any length and it's very quick to do comparing to a gmax animation.

To reply to the original question, any airport in FSX will be supported by GSX automatically. Of course, the airport should have features that makes *sense* for using FSX on it. Big pushback trucks or large passenger stairs will not be very useful on a bush airport.

VehicleFlow has absolutely nothing to do with GSX, all they're doing is animating a couple of the rust buckets that Orbx developers put into their sceneries.  VehicleFlow will interact with PeopleFlow, so people will be seen throwing boxes or tires into the trucks before they drive away.
