Title: Scenery Question
Post by: Kofi on March 09, 2008, 11:43:01 pm
Since you won't be making anymore cityscape scenery like Florence, is it possible to include more of the host city in with your airport scenery?

For example, O'hare would have a lot more of the surrounding city scenery included.......

Thanks

Sorry, but it will be "just" the airport. We'll concentrate on airports only with the best possible quality and fps, from now on.

I think this is well - advised decission from Fsdreamteam, good quality in making airports and high fsp are the key for good marketing in Flight Simulator. Fsdreamteam stand 100% for that in my point of view.

I 100% totally disagree with you - you're already getting the airport.

Why not have more than just an airport ???

If you flew their Florence product, you'd see that not only do you have a great airport, but you also have great scenery with high FPS...

Sorry Kofi, but it doesn't make much business sense for us because, in the time we do a City scenery, we can do half of another big airport and sales numbers are unfortunately very clear: big airports outsells small ones (even with a city on top of that) by MORE than 10:1

Virtuali,
From a dollar & cents business perspective I understand what you're saying.

However, it's a shame too - because you guys were definitely THE BEST at making city scenery  8)

Yep Viglius....
And it appears to me that with the releases of Zurich & O'Hare, FSDreamTeam has pretty much focused their efforts on catering to the "tubeliner" audience.

<Sigh> - Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.....

"Tubeliners" are definitely where the money is and I won't argue the fact that if you want to strictly make money as a developer, the "tubeliner" market is the place to be...
