Title: SCENERY request! CYYZ
Post by: ifly_canadian on April 25, 2011, 04:51:20 pm: Hey Guys, I just wanted to get testimonial out for YYZ. Sorry If it seems as though I am making a big deal out of this issue, but I really feel Canada would LOVE a helping hand from FSDT excellent tallents to shine an old Gem.

It seems that the Canadian Airports that are in desperate need of a professional touch are. CYVR, CYYC, CYYZ, CYUL.

1. CANuk scenery has made a Fantastic scenery for YYC.

2. Jon Gabbert has a pretty amazing freeware project of YVR on the way.

3. Blueprint's version of YUL is not bad. Although I haven't been to that airport in about 12 years. You really get that "Blueprint" feel of the airport.

4. Blueprint's version of YYZ is HORRIBLE. The building design did not get captured verywell, along with the textures.
Dennis DI Franco's freeware version of YYZ is pretty much the best thing we got going for the airport right now. I have had the scenery for years and I am sure that everyone else that flys into YYZ has too.

In regards to Toronto being a world destination. Airlines from all over Asia, Europe, South America, Carribean, Middle East, have regular service scheduled daily. I could name off a list of all the Major World Carriers that visit the airport every day, but I really want to get to the meat and potatoes...

MOST imporatantly, CYYZ hosts as a very popular spot on VATSIM, and the airport is conveniently located within an hour flight of JFK,BOS,ORD,YUL,DTW...

Post by: cmpbllsjc on April 28, 2011, 03:54:19 am: I'm not interested in any Canadian airports, but for those who are interested in CYYZ there is always the Blueprint version you could use in the mean time. It's not as nice as FSDT or FlyTampa would do, but its better than default and is only about $15.

I wouldn't call it random posting.

I'm trying to capture the architectural feel of the terminal buildings at YYZ, something that would appeal to the developers here at FSDT.

Now, imagine what all those gates would look like in FS :D. (FS9 aswell hopefully;))

I am more aware of the fact that MIA is now on the way. Honestly, I'll embrace any project that FSDT wishes to produce.
