so.. i was wondering if its possible to open .mdl files in 3dsmax... if not, what program should i use to edit or make my own planes? i know how to work on max, so it shouldnt be hard for me to start making my planes, just need some info, and i thought you guys could show me the way

i didnt find the answer to this simple question:
how can i open a .mdl file on gmax or 3ds max?
so i guess i cant do that...
so lemme explain this:
i have some fighter planes for fs9 on my fsx, they're working wierd, but they're working. the problem is, after seeing you guys' f-18 cockpit, my planes' cockpits look like crap, and i was wondering if i can put yours into my planes... thats all.
